Detours and Bus Stop Relocation due to Construction at Inova Fairfax Hospital
As part of Inova Fairfax Hospital’s ongoing expansion project, the current temporary bus stop in the south parking lot has been relocated to a new three-bus pulloff on the northbound hospital access road from Woodburn Road, near side of the main hospital roadway. Buses will detour via Woodburn Road to access the temporary bus stop and return to Gallows Road via the current main hospital roadway.
Metrobus will serve the following street segments during the time of this detour:
1A, 1C, 1Z - Both Directions
- Regular route to intersection of southbound Gallows Road and main “gray” entrance roadway to Inova Fairfax Hospital
- Gallows Rd, between hospital entrance and Woodburn Rd
- Woodburn Rd, between Gallows Rd and roadway to #3340-Woodburn Center for Community Mental Health (next roadway after entrance to hospital employee lot 10)
- Roadway to #3340-Woodburn Center for Community Mental Health, between Woodburn Rd and main entrance roadway (including bus pull-out / bus stop)
- Main entrance roadway, between roadway to #3340-Woodburn Center for Community Mental Health and Gallows Rd
