Metro lost and found

Report a lost item

Welcome to Metro's Lost and Found Web form. This online Web form allows you to easily report any items that were lost within the Metro Rail system. For items lost within the Metrobus sytem please see the attached contact list for the proper bus divisions. Once you submit information on the lost item, it will be entered into our tracking system for processing. Within 30 minutes you will receive a confirmation email with a case number. To ensure that you receive a reply, please add the address csvc@wmata.com to the "white list" of any spam filter that may be running on your home computer or office email system.

Please refer to this case number in any interactions you have with us regarding your lost item. A lost and found customer service representative will search the system for matching found items and if a match is found, you will be contacted by email or phone to verify that it is your item. Confirmed lost item matches can be picked up at:

Metro Lost and Found Office
8405 Colesville Road

Silver Spring, MD 20910

The Lost and Found office is conveniently located near the Silver Spring Metro station.
