Moving Forward on Safety

Safety is the number one priority at Metro, and we are dedicating even more resources and energy to near- and long-term safety improvement.  This page is designed to let our customers keep track of our efforts and the improvements we are implementing.  Through this page you can monitor the corrective action we are taking to ensure the safe operation of our track circuits, see how we are responding to recommendations from the agencies providing Metro with safety oversight, or get information on the investigation into the June 22 accident on the Red Line.  You may want to begin by reading Metro General Manager John Catoe’s recent statement outlining Metro’s rededication to improved safety.
