Accessibility and safety features

Metrobus is also a viable alternative for customers with disabilities as all buses are wheelchair accessible, equipped with either low-floor ramps or lifts.

To plan a trip on Metrobus and/or Metrorail, please see the Trip Planner or Metrobus timetables.

Once on board, priority seating behind the driver is available for customers with disabilities. In addition, securement locations are available for customers who use wheelchairs. Metro also provides ADA Customer Service Training for our bus operators, and they are available to assist people with disabilities.

Fifty percent of the buses in our fleet have audio stop annunciators, which announce major intersections and transfer points, along with a digital display. All new buses purchased will also include the digital signs and audio systems to announce upcoming bus stops.
