Adjacent Construction Program
The Metro Office of Joint Development and Adjacent Construction (JDAC) reviews and approves joint development projects and those projects adjacent to WMATA Metrorail and Metrobus property, facilities, and operations in order to ensure that:
- Metro facilities and operations are not damaged or affected by the proposed project;
- Metro operations are not affected during and after the project construction; and
- Metro station capacity is not affected by the ridership generated by the project.
On June 4, 2013 JDAC will host a workshop on joint development and adjacent construction projects to which JDAC will invite jurisdictions, agencies, utilities, owners/ developers, their contractors and consultants. If you would like to attend, please read the invitation

On May 23, 2011 JDAC hosted a workshop on joint development and adjacent construction projects to which it invited jurisdictions, agencies, utilities, owners/ developers, their contractors and consultants. The workshop presentation serves as an introduction to the adjacent construction program.
