Disability SmarTrip® Card
This special SmarTrip® card is valid for reduced fares at all times while riding Metrobus and Metrorail. You must have a Disability ID card to order this product.

7-Day Regional Bus Pass $16
Pass available only on SmarTrip® cards for seven consecutive days of unlimited bus travel. Existing SmarTrip® card users may purchase this pass by logging in to your account online, or by visiting any Metro Sales Office, regional transit store or select retail outlets. You need a SmarTrip® card, paper farecard or pass to ride Metrorail. To enter the system using a SmarTrip® card, simply tap the card on the target on the entry faregate. If using a paper farecard, insert it into the faregate. If using a pass on a paper farecard, the faregate will activate the pass the first time it is used and print the last valid date on the pass.
One Day Pass $14 or
Pass available on SmarTrip® cards is valid for one day of unlimited Metrorail travel; no time restrictions. Pass expires at the end of the operating day: 3 am on weekends, midnight on weeknights. Existing SmarTrip® card users may purchase this pass by logging in to their account online or by adding it to their SmarTrip® card at any Metrorail station Farecard & Passes machine. New SmarTrip® users may purchase a SmarTrip® card pre-loaded with this pass by clicking the Buy Online button.
7-Day Fast Pass $57.50
Pass available only on SmarTrip® cards for 7 consecutive days of unlimited Metrorail travel. Existing SmarTrip® card users may purchase this pass by logging in to their account online or by adding it to their SmarTrip® card at any Metrorail station Farecard & Passes machine.
7-Day Short Trip Pass $35
Pass is activated the first time it is used. It is valid for seven consecutive days of unlimited rides on WMATA Metrorail for trips costing up to $3.50 when peak fares are in effect. During these times, if your trip costs more than $3.50 , the additional charge will be deducted from the SmarTrip® card's Stored Value. There is no charge for rail trips at other times. A positive Stored Value is required to enter the Metrorail system.
28-Day Fast Pass $230
Pass available only on SmarTrip® cards for 28 consecutive days of unlimited Metrorail travel. Existing SmarTrip® card users may purchase this pass by logging in to their account online or by adding it to their SmarTrip® card at any Metrorail station Farecard & Passes machine.
Farecards hold from $2.70 to $45. Farecards are available at Farecard & Passes machines in Metrorail stations.
Metro student fare products are for District students who use Metrobus, Metrorail, or the DC Circulator to travel to and from school and school sponsored educational activities. Students must obtain and register their DC One Student Card (http://dconecard.dc.gov) requested through their school or DC One Card Customer Service Center to be eligible to obtain or purchase student fares. Student fares are sold at Metro sales offices and through the WMATA website. For more information, contact the Office of Mass Transit's School Transit Subsidy Program at 202-673-1740.
DC One Student Card - Kids Ride Free on Bus
This program allows eligible students to ride the Metrobus for free from Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 9 AM and from 2 PM until 8 PM when school is in session by showing their DC One student card to the bus operator when boarding the Metrobus. This program is for District students 5 to 22 years old who attend a Kindergarten through 12th grade school in DC.
DC One Student Card - Electronic Passes
The electronic passes are available for eligible DC One Student Cards and can only be used within the District and boundary rail stations: Capitol Heights, Friendship Heights, Southern Avenue, Silver Spring, Naylor Road. The students can purchase these passes by going to a Metro sales office and showing proof of eligibility, or through WMATA's website by logging in to their WMATA SmarTrip® online account, associating their eligible DC One Student card with that account and making an autoload purchase of the pass.
DC Student Paper Passes
SmartStudent Pass $30
Valid for one month of unlimited travel on Metrobus and Metrorail for school or school-related events and as of January 2014, this pass can only be acquired by special ordering through the schools or other sponsoring agencies. See the DDOT website for more information.
DC Student Farecards $9.50
Valid for 10 trips on Metrorail and can be purchased at a Metro sales office by showing an eligibility letter.
DC Student Tokens
Students have the option to purchase student tokens to ride regular (non-express) Metrobus routes. Student tokens are sold in packs of 10 (each token has a value of 75 cents) to District students who show a Token Blank form to a Metro sales office. To ride express buses using tokens, riders must pay the difference between the regular and express fare.
