MetroAccess Settlement Special Announcement: Ten Free Trips Credit
Effective August 15, 2008, all MetroAccess customers registered as of July 2, 2008, will receive 10 free trips as part of a legal settlement between MetroAccess and the Equal Rights Center. Ten free one-way trips at the standard $2.50 fare will be credited electronically to customers MetroAccess accounts on Friday, August 15, 2008.
For demand trips, the credit will be applied to trips reserved on or after August 15. Trips reserved prior to that date need to be paid for with cash, farecards, or tokens.
For subscription trips that activate on or after August 15, the credit will be applied automatically. For most subscription trips, the effective date will be August 23 because subscription trips are activated seven days in advance.
Customers can get account details, such as account balance, trip debits and cancellations/no-show credits, through reservation agents. Please remember that the credit from the settlement will run out after ten completed one-way trips and that it is a good idea to always have fare available at the time of travel.
