Takoma Station: Platform Reconstruction Project
Beginning March 21, 2012, Metro will start platform reconstruction work and replacement of the station pavers (tiles) at Takoma station.
Unfortunately, during different phases of this project, we will be using power equipment to do this work. At times the work will be noisy, but the noise levels will not be high the entire length of the project.
Most of the work will take place from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m but could occur at other times.
We will do everything we can to minimize noise, including putting up barricades around the work zones and regularly monitoring sound levels. However, some noise will be unavoidable.
