L-Line service changes effective June 17, 2012
The following route changes, effective June 17, 2012, will begin in conjunction with new Metrobus schedules:
- L1: Route will operate via Virginia Avenue between 23rd and C Streets, NW.
- L2: Route will operate direct via Connecticut Avenue between Chevy Chase Circle and Farragut Square, using the underpass at Dupont Circle, except for a diversion via Calvert Street and Columbia Road. Route will no longer travel along 18th St NW, New Hampshire Ave NW, 20th and 21st Sts NW and H & K Sts NW to McPherson Square.
- L4: Route discontinued.
SERVICE FREQUENCY
- Weekday Morning Rush Hour: L1 & L2 will run every 12 minutes on each route.
- Weekday Evening Rush Hour: L1 & L2 will run every 15 minutes on each route, with additional service operating between Van Ness-UDC Metrorail station and Chevy Chase Circle.
- Weekday Non-Rush Hour & Saturday: L2 will run every 20 minutes.
- Sunday only: L2 will run every 30 minutes.
