R1, R2, R5 service changes effective June 17, 2012
The following route changes, effective June 17, 2012, will begin in conjunction with new Metrobus schedules:
- R2: Route will operate via 23rd Avenue between University Blvd and East-West Highway instead of via Riggs Road. Route will no longer serve Prince George’s Plaza Metrorail station.
- R5: Route discontinued. R2 will replace R5.
SERVICE FREQUENCY
- R2: Weekday midday service will run every 35 minutes. Weekend service will run every 60 minutes.
