Weekday track work planner for June 18-22, 2012
Metro will advance rebuilding efforts during off-peak hours Monday, June 18, through Friday, June 22, 2012.
Red Line

Monday through Wednesday, beginning at 10 p.m. each night, Red Line trains will single track between Takoma and Forest Glen for track circuit work. Customers should allow 15 minutes of additional travel time

Monday through Thursday, beginning at 10 p.m. each night, Red Line trains will single track between Twinbrook and Shady Grove for track circuit work. Customers should allow 15 minutes of additional travel time.

Thursday beginning at 10 p.m., Red Line trains will single track between Judiciary Square and Rhode Island Avenue for tie renewal work. Customers should allow about 10 minutes of additional travel time.
Orange Line

Monday through Thursday, beginning at 10 p.m. each night, Orange Line trains will single track between East Falls Church and West Falls Church for work associated with the Silver Line extension and between Federal Center S.W. and Eastern Market for dome rehabilitation and tunnel repair work. Customers should allow 15 minutes of additional travel time.
Blue Line

Monday and Tuesday, beginning at 10 p.m. each night, Blue Line trains will single track between Federal Center S.W. and Eastern Market for dome rehabilitation and tunnel repair work. Customers should allow 10 minutes of additional travel time.
There is no scheduled midday or late-night work this week on the Green or Yellow lines.

Metro is advancing a six-year, $5 billion Capital Improvement Program (CIP) that is focused on safety and bringing the Metro system into a state of good repair. In FY2012, the CIP includes projects to replace escalators; retrofit track; replace critical track circuitry and equipment along the right of way; rehabilitate third-rail power systems, running rail and track pads; modernize 12 stations; replace 100 Metrobuses and the rehabilitate 100 more; renovate three bus garages; and install 30 new track turnouts.
