Dupont Circle: South entrance reopens Sunday, Oct. 21
The Dupont Circle south entrance (at 19th Street NW) will reopen for customer use beginning Sunday, October 21, 2012.
Metro has completed the major construction project to remove three unreliable escalators and replace them with new "transit grade" units that will provide safer and more reliable service for years to come. The new escalators feature standard parts for easy replacement, longer life expectancy, and are easier to maintain than the previous models they replace.
Metro greatly appreciates the patience of our Dupont Circle customers during this replacement project.
