Metro announces service information for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

On Monday, January 15 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) Metro will open at 5 a.m. and close at 11:30 p.m. Trains will run on a Saturday schedule and buses will operate on a Saturday supplemental schedule; off-peak fares will be in effect; and parking will be free all day.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 15, Metro service will operate as follows:

Metrorail: The rail system will open at 5 a.m. and close at 11:30 p.m. Trains will operate on a Saturday schedule (every 12 minutes during daytime hours). Off-peak fares will be in effect all day, and parking will be free at all Metro-operated facilities. Customers should be aware of scheduled track work on the Red and Yellow Lines on Monday.

Metrobus: Buses will operate on a "Saturday supplemental" schedule (i.e. a Saturday schedule without selected post-midnight trips). For details, please check the timetable for your route.

MetroAccess: Service will operate normal hours. However, subscription trips will be canceled unless specifically requested.

In addition, Metro's customer information call center will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday.
