MEDIA ADVISORY: Metro employees to participate in annual Fill-a-Bus day of service at Capital Area Food Bank

Metro General Manager and CEO Paul J. Wiedefeld and more than 100 Metro employee volunteers will participate in a day of service at the Capital Area Food Bank on Saturday, January 18. Over the past month, contributions have poured in from Metro’s 12,000-strong workforce to ‘Fill-A-Bus’ with healthy food donations in support of underserved communities in the region. Metro employees will help unload the bus, sort and bag food, and prepare it for distribution, demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the communities Metro serves.
