Metro service information for Columbus Day & Indigenous Peoples' Day, Monday, Oct. 10

In observance of Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day, Monday, Oct. 10, Metrorail will operate normal weekday service and Metrobus will operate on a Saturday supplemental schedule. MetroAccess customers may make reservations to travel on the holiday; however, subscription trips will be canceled.

Customers are reminded of Major Blue and Yellow line construction closing six stations south of Reagan National Airport - Braddock Rd, King St-Old Town, Eisenhower Ave, Huntington, Van Dorn St and Franconia-Springfield. Free shuttle buses are being provided.

Weekday off-peak fares will be in effect all day and parking will be free at all Metro owned parking facilities and garages. 

SERVICE INFORMATION

Metrorail

Hours: Metrorail will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight.

Service: 
Red Line every 10 minutes.
Blue Line Orange Line Silver Line every 15 minutes. 
Green Line every 8 minutes.
Yellow Line No train service. Use Blue and Green lines as alternative. 

Stations: Trains will serve 85 of 91 stations. Braddock Rd, King St-Old Town, Eisenhower Ave, Huntington, Van Dorn St and Franconia-Springfield closed. Free shuttle buses replace trains. 

Fares:
Off-peak fares all day.

Parking:
Free at all Metro owned parking facilities and garages.

Metrobus

Hours: Varies by bus routes. View timetables for schedule information.

Service:
Saturday supplemental service. Buses will operate on a reduced schedule compared to weekdays, operating on a Saturday schedule with additional service beyond a traditional weekend schedule.

MetroAccess

Hours: MetroAccess paratransit service will operate regular service. 

Scheduled trips:
Recurring “subscription trips” are automatically canceled on the holiday. Customers who wish to travel on Monday should make a separate reservation online or by calling 301-562-5360 (TTY 301-588-7535).
