West Falls Church Station closed this weekend in preparation for summer platform project

West Falls Church Station will be closed on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 as Metro and its contractors prepare for this summer's Platform Improvement Project by installing shoring under the station's platforms.

In addition to the station closure, Orange Line trains will share a single track between West Falls Church and Vienna, with trains every 36 minutes, rather than every 30 minutes. All other lines will operate on Metro's now-regular Pandemic Weekend service (every 20 minutes on the Red Line, and every 30 minutes on all others). Metro operates from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. on weekends.

A free shuttle bus will be available between West Falls Church and Dunn Loring stations for any essential rider affected by the closure. (Note: East Falls Church is closed as part of Metro's ongoing Covid-19 response.)
