Metro service information for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 17

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 17, 2022,  Metrobus will operate on a Saturday supplemental schedule and Metrorail will run regular scheduled weekday service. MetroAccess customer may make a reservation to travel on the holiday; however, subscription trips will be canceled.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Metrorail will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight. Off-peak fares will be in effect and parking will be free at Metro-owned parking garages and lots. Trains will serve all 91 stations, arriving on average every 10 minutes or less at stations served by multiple lines. Trains will continue to depart end of line stations as follows:

Red Line every 12 minutes

Blue Line  Orange Line  Silver Line every 24 minutes

Green Line Yellow Line every 20 minutes

Customers are advised to be aware of late-night scheduled track on the Blue Line. For additional information view the weekend service advisory or track work ahead page on wmata.com.

Metrobus will operate on a Saturday supplemental schedule (i.e. Saturday schedule with additional trips on some routes). Service and hours vary by route. Check timetables by route for additional schedule information.

MetroAccess paratransit service will operate normal hours; however, subscription trips will be canceled. Reservations to travel on the holiday may be made online or by calling MetroAccess customer service at 301-562-5360, press 2 to speak to a customer service representative (TTY 301-588-7535).
