Metro to resume bus and rail service to the Pentagon tomorrow morning

Metro will reopen the Pentagon Station and Pentagon Transit Center to customers beginning with the start of bus and rail service Thursday morning. The station and transit center has been closed since early Tuesday, due to the law enforcement response and investigation following a fatal incident that occurred in the bus bays.

Metrobus service to the Pentagon Transit Center will resume at 4:30 a.m., and Metrorail service to the Pentagon on the Blue and Yellow lines will begin at 5:00 a.m. at the normal opening time.

For the remainder of today through closing tonight, buses that serve the Pentagon will remain on detour to Pentagon City where customers can connect to Metrorail and other regional bus providers. On Metrorail, Blue and Yellow line trains will continue passing through the Pentagon Station without stopping.

Normal scheduled service is operating on all other bus and rail lines.

The latest service information is available on Metro's Status and Alerts page, on Twitter @MetrorailInfo @MetrobusInfo or through MetroAlerts email or text messages. Customers are encouraged to sign up for MetroAlerts to receive up-to-date service alerts for specific rail lines or bus routes.
