R15-02: Environmental Evaluation and Proposal for the Takoma Langley Crossroads Transit Center

The Maryland Transit Administration  (MTA) is constructing a new local  and regional bus transit center  at the Takoma Langley Crossroads, located on the northeast corner of New  Hampshire Avenue (MD 650) and University Boulevard (MD 193). WMATA is proposing to lease the  transit center from MTA and assume responsibility for its operations and  maintenance.  Several bus stops in the vicinity of the transit center are  proposed to be relocated to the transit center.  WMATA is seeking your  input on this proposal.

Staff Report Available for Review and Comment

The Takoma  Langley Crossroads Transit Center Public Hearing Staff Report is available for  review and comment.  Written statements and exhibits must be received by 9  a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 and may be emailed to writtentestimony@wmata.com, or mailed to the Office of the  Secretary, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, 600 Fifth Street,  NW, Washington, D.C.  20001.  All comments received become a part of  the public record, is made available to the public and may be posted, without  change, to www.wmata.com/hearings, including any personal information  provided.

  • Take an  online survey. Complete the survey to  provide your feedback before 5 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2015.
  • Send an  email. Submit written comments before 5 p.m. on  Friday, July 25, 2015 by emailing writtentestimony@wmata.com
  • Attend the  public hearing Tuesday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. (Open House at 6:00 p.m.)

    The public hearing begins at 6:30 p.m. with a half hour information session  starting at 6 p.m. Register to speak by emailing speak@wmata.com.

    Public comments will be considered by the WMATA Board of Directors before final  plan adoption.
