Synopsis

RFP FQ18021/RSC, Procurement of Four Utility Trucks

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for the purchase of four utility trucks, 2 Ton, Crew Cab, 4WD with 9 feet enclosed body for WMATA's Emergency Response Team (ERT).

Proposals are due on October 27, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at WMATA, Office of Procurement and Materials, 600 Fifth Street, NW, Room 3C-02, Washington, DC 20001.

A Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held on October 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Carmen E. Turner Maintenance and Training Facility, 3500 Pennsy Drive, Building B, Room B-124, Landover, MD 20785. It is requested that offerors submit their questions in writing, whether in advance of the meeting or during the meeting, questions from the floor are permissible. All questions submitted in advanced must be in writing, addressed and submitted to Ms. Ruby S. Coley via email rcoley@wmata.com. Questions submitted in writing prior to October 6, 2017 may have answers provided at the Pre-Proposal Conference.

If your firm intend to attend the pre-proposal conference you must submit an email to rcoley@wmata.com and include the representative names, company names and email address two days in advance of the pre-proposal meeting. Your firm will be provided with an email to user as access to board WMATA’s free Employees Shuttle Bus. Parking is not available at CTF; however, parking (METRO and public parking) is available at New Carrollton Metro Station where you can board the Employee Free Shuttle Bus.

DBE Goal is set at 1% under NAICS 484110, General Freight Trucking, local.

All vendors and contractors who do business with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority must register in WMATA Vendor Registration System (VRS). Registration is located at http://www.wmata.com. Any questions regarding registration may be sent to clm@wmata.com

Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is providing financial assistance with this project; therefore, vendors are required to register in System for Award Management, www.sam.gov.
