Synopsis
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) requires services of a qualified firm to provide a tire leasing and wheel management program. Services include providing new tires under a lease program, mounting tires, removing tires from wheels, refurbishing and cleaning steel and aluminum tire wheels. Additional requirements include managing a tire inspection program and making all necessary tire repairs to support WMATA's fleet of approximately 1583 buses. The buses are located at various sites throughout Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.
The Contractor will furnish all personnel labor, equipment and material necessary to ensure that tires and wheels are correctly assembled and that all assemblies meet maintenance requirements specified for the identified manufacturers. Contract/Lease performance terms includes a three (3) year base with two (2) one (1) year options.
