Invitation Notice and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) For Station Platform Rehabilitation Program Invitation RFQ No: FQ18117 March 30, 2018

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking the services of a contractor to complete the demolition and reconstruction of seven Metrorail Station platforms on the Blue/Yellow lines, Solicitation FQ18117/NAC – Station Platform Rehabilitation Program. This procurement will use a two-step sealed bidding method requiring the submittal of qualifications in phase one and the submission of seal bids in phase two. Phase 1 is to determine the acceptability of technical submissions while phase two is for the submission of sealed bids by those invited by WMATA to do so after submittal of acceptable technical submittals in Phase 1. This is Phase 1 of the procurement process. The following is a Request for Qualifications from interested Contractors who wish to be considered for a procurement of the Station Platform Rehabilitation Project that includes the following: 1. Station Platform Rehabilitation: The work consists of selective demolition of platform elements, concrete repair, installation of granite edges, complete replacement of all platform tiles, installation of new wind shelters and pylons, complete station signage, electrical and communications, lighting within the station including pylons and platform edges, fire standpipe reconfiguration and connections. The work is located at the following Stations: a. C10 National Airport b. C12 Braddock Road c. C13 King Street d. C14 Eisenhower e. C15 Huntington f. J02 Van Dorn g. J03 Franconia-Springfield 2. Installation of a new track crossover: The work consists of the all work associated with the installing a new Universal Track Crossover including but not limited to all design disciplines, track work, Automatic Train Control, Traction Power, grading and drainage required for the installation of a fully functional Universal Crossover. The Crossover shall be located at the northern most end of the King Street. Final Testing and Commissioning of the new crossover will commence after the Metrorail System returns to revenue service. . WMATA therefore requests your participation by submitting qualifications in response to this invitation, RFQ FQ18117 – Station Platform Rehabilitation Program. Please note that all prospective vendors responding to this solicitation must utilize WMATA’s Project Management Software System (PMSS), “Procore”. Procore helps to streamline the procurement process by allowing bidders to download relevant proposing documents and to then submit a bid electronically.
