In 2005, Urban Atlantic entered into a joint development agreement with WMATA to ground lease and develop 8.5 acres of land at the Rhode Island Metrorail Station (Red Line).

In 2013, the developer completed the construction of Rhode Island Row, a 274 unit apartment development with 68,000 square feet of retail. This development also built a 215 space parking garage to replace the surface parking lot, it reconfigured the bus loop, and the Kiss & Ride lot.
