Take a tour of your newly renovated Metro station – Summer 2021

Last summer, Metro worked around the clock to reconstruct the outdoor platforms and improve the customer experience at four Green and Yellow Line stations: Greenbelt, College Park-U of Md, Prince George’s Plaza and West Hyattsville. The stations reopened in September with many new features:

  • New slip-resistant tiles on the platforms and in the mezzanine areas
  • Larger Passenger Information Displays (PIDS)
  • Energy-efficient LED lighting
  • Stainless steel platform shelters with charging ports

As part of Metro’s Platform Improvement Project, the stations now provide safer and more accessible platforms, along with an enhanced customer experience that brings a higher level of safety, convenience, and communication.

If you haven’t visited these stations yet, don’t worry! Below are virtual walkthroughs for each station, along with before and after photos that highlight the significant transformations.
