12:49 p.m. A Shady Grove-bound Red Line train at Twinbrook was offloaded due to police activity. Passengers experienced a 41-minute delay.

1:10 p.m. A New Carrollton-bound Orange Line train at L'Enfant Plaza was offloaded due to a report of smoke in the station. As a result, Orange and Blue line service was temporarily suspended between Metro Center and Capitol South. Shuttle bus service was provided. Customers experienced delays up to 45 minutes until approximately 4:30 p.m.
