Metrobus & Metrorail Service information for Army Ten-Miler Oct. 9

Advisory Effective: 10/9/22 - 10/9/22

On Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, Blue Line trains will bypass the Pentagon Station, passing through the station without stopping until 8 a.m., to accommodate the Army Ten-Miler. The one-hour late opening at Pentagon Station was requested by event organizers, as the race will be using a staggered start for health and safety reasons to minimize crowds.

Customers traveling to the race, should use the Pentagon City Station as an alternative. In addition, the Pentagon Transit Center will be closed until approximately 2 p.m. and all Metrobuses also relocated to Pentagon City.

Participants with early start times and spectators are reminded that Metrorail will operate on a normal Sunday schedule, opening at 7 a.m., and should plan accordingly.

In addition, six stations - King St-Old Town, Braddock Rd, Eisenhower Ave, Huntington, Van Dorn St and Franconia-Springfield - are closed for Major Blue and Yellow line construction. Free shuttle buses are being provided. Express shuttle buses to/from Huntington and Franconia-Springfield will be diverted to Crystal City where customers can connect to rail service.

Additonal Metrobus routes will also be temporarily detoured due to road closures for the race.

View the weekend Metrorail service advisory and list of temporary Metrobus detours for additional information about bus and rail service adjustments.
