Metro Transition Bus Shelter Installation Program
Advisory Effective: 1/26/23 - 1/27/23
Metro will begin to replace existing bus shelters with transition bus shelters beginning January 26, 2023. Work will occur outside of service hours. The transition shelters will remain in place until the new design shelters are ready in 2024.
Beginning Thursday January 26th at 10pm, the bus shelter at Fort Totten Station Bus Bay H, Stop ID#1003438 will be removed, and replaced with a temporary transition shelter. Work is expected to be completed by the start of service on Friday January 27.
Over the next few months bus shelters will be replaced at the following Metrorail Stations.
- Fort Totten
- Brookland/CUA
- Takoma
- New Carrollton
- Capitol Heights
- Addison Road
- Shady Grove
- Landover
