East Falls Church Station Park & Ride and Kiss & Ride Repair Project

Advisory Effective: 3/9/21 - 11/30/21

Beginning on or about April 19, 2021 for approximately 7 months, Metro is rehabilitating the Park & Ride and Kiss & Ride lots at East Falls Church Station. 


Customer Information
  • Park & Ride repair work will be done in phases and about 160 parking spaces will be closed during each phase.
  • Night and weekend work may occur depending on weather and worksite conditions.
Phase 1: Park & Ride Repairs (West Section) - Complete
  • Duration: Approximately 1 month
  • About 150 parking spaces will be closed
  • Customer Notification (English / Spanish)
Phase 2: Park & Ride Repairs (Center Section) - Complete
  • Duration: Approximately 1 month
  • About 130 parking spaces will be closed
  • Reserved parking will be temporarily relocated
  • Sidewalk repairs will occur
  • Customer Notification (English / Spanish)
Phase 3: Park & Ride Repairs (East Section) - Complete
  • Duration: Approximately 2 months
  • About 130 parking spaces & Park & Ride entrance (N Sycamore St) will be closed
  • Accessible parking will be temporarily relocated
  • Sidewalk repairs will occur
  • Customer Notification (English / Spanish)
Phase 4: Park & Ride Entrance (Washington Blvd) and Access Road Repairs - In Progress, 8/9/21
  • Duration: Approximately 1 month
  • Temporary road closures and traffic detours will be in place
  • Sidewalk and concrete repairs will occur
  • Construction will occur during overnight hours
  • Customer Notification (English / Spanish)
Phase 5: Kiss & Ride Repairs - In Progress, 8/16/21
  • Duration: Approximately 2 months
  • About 5 parking spaces will be closed during daytime
  • No overnight parking in Kiss & Ride permitted during construction
  • Construction will occur during overnight hours
  • Customer Notification (English / Spanish)
Customer Safety
  • Accessible and reserved parking spaces will be temporarily relocated throughout construction. Look for posted signs.
  • Be prepared for loud noises and traffic/pedestrian detours throughout construction. For your safety, stay clear of the construction zone and follow all posted signs.
  • Vehicles parked in marked construction zones will be subject to towing. If your vehicle is towed, please call Metro Transit Police at 202-962-2121.
