Landover Station Park & Ride and Kiss & Ride Repair Project

Advisory Effective: 2/1/21 - 2/1/22

Beginning February 2021 for approximately one year, Metro is rehabilitating the Park & Ride and Kiss & Ride lots at Landover Station. 


Customer Information
  • Park & Ride repair work will be done in phases and about 350 parking spaces will be closed during each phase.
  • Night and weekend work may occur depending on weather and worksite conditions.
Phase 1: Park & Ride Repairs (West Section) - Complete
  • Duration: Approximately six 6 months
  • About 350 parking spaces will be closed
  • Customer Notification (English / Spanish)
Phase 2: Bus Loop Entrance Repairs - Complete
  • Duration: Approximately 1 month
  • About 100 parking spaces will be closed 
  • Temporary road closures and traffic detours will be in place 
  • Work will take place overnight
  • Customer Notification (English / Spanish)
Phase 3: Park & Ride Repairs (East Section) - Complete
  • Duration: Approximately 1 month
  • About 325 parking spaces will be closed
  • Customer Notification (English / Spanish)
Phase 4: Park & Ride Repairs (Center Section) - In Progress, 9/13/21
  • Duration: Approximately 2 months
  • About 300 parking spaces will be closed in two phases: Phase 4A and Phase 4B
  • Accessible and reserved parking will be temporarily relocated to the center section
  • Customer Notification (Phase 4A: English / Spanish)

Phase 5: Park & Ride Entrance and Kiss & Ride Repairs - Complete
  • Duration: Approximately 1 month
  • No overnight parking in Kiss & Ride permitted during Kiss & Ride construction
  • Temporary road closures and traffic detours will be in place
  • Work will take place overnight
  • Customer Notification (English / Spanish)
Customer Safety
  • Accessible and reserved parking spaces will be temporarily relocated throughout construction. Look for posted signs.
  • Be prepared for loud noises and traffic/pedestrian detours throughout construction. For your safety, stay clear of the construction zone and follow all posted signs.
  • Vehicles parked in marked construction zones will be subject to towing. If your vehicle is towed, please call Metro Transit Police at 202-962-2121.
