From Saturday, December 10 at 5:00am to Saturday, December 17 at 12:01 a.m. multiple buses will detour due to the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible. Consider Metrorail as an alternate travel option.

- 9th Street from H Street to N Street, NW
- 10th Street from New York Avenue to N street, NW
- 11th Street from H Street to L Street, NW
- 12th Street from H Street to L Street, NW
- 13th Street from H Street to L Street, NW
- New York Avenue from 6th Street to 13th Street, NW
- Massachusetts Avenue from 6th Street to 13th Street, NW
- K Street from 6th Street to 10th Street, NW
- L Street from 6th Street to Massachusetts Avenue, NW
- M Street from 6th Street to 10th Street, NW
- N Street from 6th Street to 12th Street, NW
- O Street from 6th Street to 9th Street, NW
The following routes will detour:
G8 Rhode Island Ave eastbound to Avondale
- Buses begin detouring on H St at 13th St NW, resuming regular route on 6th St at Rhode Island Ave NW.
G8 Rhode Island Ave westbound to Farragut Square
- Buses begin detouring on Rhode Island Ave at 6th St NW, resuming regular route on H St at 9th St NW.
