Temporary Detour: Construction on Monroe St NE Bridge, Oct 2

Routes Affected: 80, G8, H1, H2, H3 and H4

Routes 80, G8, H1, H2, H3 and H4 will detour due to a long-term construction project on Monroe St NE Bridge over Brookland-CUA Metrorail station. The westbound bus stop on Monroe St NE at 7th St NE (ID # 1002116) will be discontinued during this project. A temporary bus stop will be established on Michigan Ave NE at 7th St for buses traveling to the Kennedy Center, Potomac Park and Tenleytown-AU Metrorail station.

DETOUR ROUTES

80 North Capitol Street southbound toward the Kennedy Center
H1 Brookland-Potomac Park southbound toward Potomac Park
H2, H3, H4 Crosstown westbound toward Tenleytown-AU

Departing from each assigned bus bay, buses will begin detouring on 9th St NE at Bunker Hill Rd, to resume regular route on Michigan Ave NE at Monroe St.

• First bus stop served after buses resume regular route: Michigan Ave & Gibbons Hall Catholic University

80 North Capitol Street northbound toward Fort Totten
H1 Brookland-Potomac Park northbound toward Fort Totten
H2, H3, H4 Crosstown eastbound toward Fort Totten

G8 Rhode Island Avenue westbound toward Farragut Square

Departing from Bus Bay D, buses will begin detouring on 9th St NE at Bunker Hill Rd, to resume regular route on 7th St NE at Monroe St.
