Buses will detour due to Purple Line construction on Bonifant St. The detour may become permanent. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time.
Street Closure:
• Bonifant St btwn Ramsey Ave and Dixon Ave
79 Georgia Ave-MetroExtra northbound toward Silver Spring Transit Center
• No detour.
79 Georgia Ave-MetroExtra southbound toward Archives Metrorail station
• Buses begin detouring on Wayne Ave at Ramsey Ave, resuming regular route on Georgia Ave at Bonifant St.
Customers are required to wear face coverings on Metrobus. Face coverings may include bandanas, scarves, neck gaiters or homemade coverings easily made from t-shirts and other materials at minimal cost.
