Beginning Friday, May 12th to Saturday, May 13th buses will detour due to First Amendment Demonstration Activities from 5:00pm to 11:59pm. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible. 

STREET CLOSURES: 

 • 4th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue, NW and Independence Avenue, SW 

• Madison Drive between 3rd Street and 7th Street, NW 

• Jefferson Drive between 3rd Street and 7th Street, SW 

The following routes will detour: 

32, 36 Pennsylvania Avenue westbound to Potomac Park 

• Buses begin detouring on Independence Ave SW at Washington Ave, resuming regular route on Pennsylvania Ave NW at Constitution Ave. 

32, 36 Pennsylvania Avenue eastbound to Southern Avenue Station | Naylor Road 

• Buses begin detouring on Pennsylvania Ave NW at 7th St, resuming regular route on Independence Ave SW at 1st St. 

P6 Anacostia-Eckington northbound to Rhode Island Station 

 • Buses begin detouring on 4th St SW at Independence Ave SW, resuming regular route on Pennsylvania Ave NW at Constitution Ave. 

P6 Anacostia-Eckington southbound to Anacostia Station 

 • Buses begin detouring on Pennsylvania Ave NW at 6th St, resuming regular route on 4th St SW at School St.
