*Update as of 7/23/2020 - This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020.

Beginning mid-July, 2019, construction for the future Strathmore Square development will begin. This work will include an expansion to the existing Metro Parking Garage and improving the stormwater utility system.

During construction, customers should be aware of the following impacts:

  • Approximately 90 daily parking spaces in the Surface Parking Lot and 25 spaces in the Parking Garage will be closed. Customers should consider parking at Twinbrook Metrorail Station during this time.
  • The Surface Lot entrance will be converted into a two-way entrance and exit. Vehicles will no longer be able to exit through the parking garage.
  • Bus Bays E and F will be closed, and Ride On 46 to Medical Center F will be relocated to Bus Bay J.
  • The northern half of the Kiss & Ride will be closed. Access to the southern half of the Kiss & Ride will be through the current bus entrance. Shuttles should use Bus Bays A & B.
