More Red Line. More Yellow Line. All the time.
Red Line trains will run between Shady Grove and Glenmont stations
Currently, Red Line trains “turn back” at Silver Spring during rush hour, while others operate to the end of the line at Glenmont.
Running all trains to Glenmont will increase service at three Red Line stations; Glenmont, Wheaton & Forest Glen.
Yellow Line trains now run to Greenbelt instead of Fort Totten or Mt Vernon Square
All Yellow Line trains now* operate between Huntington and Greenbelt, doubling rush-hour service for Yellow and Green Line customers at nine stations from Shaw-Howard U to Greenbelt.
Yellow Line trains previously turned back at Mt Vernon Square during rush hours and at Fort Totten at all other times.
