Metrobus to operate severe snow plan Sunday, February 7

Advisory Effective: 2/7/21 - 2/7/21

On Sunday, February 7, Metrobus will operate on a severe snow service plan.

Under a severe snow service plan, Metro will restrict bus service to severe snow routes. Buses will operate on major roads only and passengers should anticipate service delays and increased wait times. Customers traveling when severe snow service is in place should be aware Metrobus may have to suspend all service if road and weather conditions worsen and travel becomes unsafe.

Customers are encouraged to check the list of routes operating under a severe snow plan before traveling to see how your travel may be affected. Customers should use caution as sidewalks and walkways may be slippery. If there is snow blocking the curb, do not stand in the street. Wait on the sidewalk until the bus arrives.

Allow additional travel time due to the possibility of delays and increased wait times due to road conditions.

Customers are advised to check which routes are operating to ensure they may get safely to and from their destination. View severe snow routes for details.

Additional service updates will be provided through MetroAlerts text and email messages, on the Status and Alerts page at wmata.com and on Metro's social media channels @Metrorailinfo and @Metrobusinfo.

Federal law requires face masks when riding Metrobus.
