Temporary Detour: Construction at Chevy Chase Metro Building/Friendship Heights Bus Loop, August 5

Routes Affected: 30N , 30S, 31, 33, E6, L2, N2, N4, N6

Effective: Sunday, August 5, 2018 for approximately two months

For approximately two months, routes 30N , 30S, 31, 33, E6, L2, N2, N4 and N6 will detour due to a construction project at the Chevy Chase Metro Building above the Friendship Heights bus loop. During this time a temporary bus bay will be established on Western Ave at 44th St.

31, 33 Wisconsin Ave northbound towards Friendship Heights
N2 Massachusetts Ave westbound towards Friendship Heights

Buses begin detouring on Wisconsin Ave at Western Ave, to end service at Temporary Bus Bay L (On Western Ave by McDonald's).

• Last stop served before buses end service: Wisconsin Ave NW at Western Ave

30N Friendship Heights-Southeast eastbound towards Naylor Rd
30S Friendship Heights-Southeast eastbound towards Southern Ave
31 Wisconsin Ave southbound towards Foggy Bottom
33 Wisconsin Ave southbound towards Federal Triangle
N2 Massachusetts Ave eastbound towards Farragut Square

Buses begin service at Temporary Bus Bay L (On Western Ave by McDonald's), to resume regular route on Wisconsin Ave NW at Jenifer St.

• First stop served after buses resume regular route: Wisconsin Ave NW at Jenifer St

N4, N6 Massachusetts Ave eastbound towards Farragut Square

Buses begin service at a temporary stop on Western Ave NW at 44th St and continue service on Western Ave NW.

N4, N6 Massachusetts Ave westbound towards Friendship Heights

Buses end service at temporary bus stop on Western Ave NW at 44th St.

E6 Chevy Chase eastbound towards Knollwood

Buses begin service at temporary bus bay L (On Western Ave by McDonald's), to resume regular route on Western Ave NW at Wisconsin Circle.

• First stop served after buses resume regular route: Western Ave at Livingston St

E6 Chevy Chase westbound towards Friendship Heights

Buses begin detouring on Western Ave NW at Wisconsin Cir, to end service at temporary bus stop on Western Ave NW at 44th St.

• Last stop before end of service: Western Ave NW at Livingston St

NOTE: Only late-night southbound service on route L2 will be impacted by construction.

L2 Connecticut Ave southbound late night service toward Farragut Square

Buses begin detouring on Willard Ave NW at Wisconsin Ave (bypassing Friendship Heights station, to serve temporary stop on Western Ave at 44th St and resume regular route on Western Ave NW at Wisconsin Ave.
