Metrobus will detour from 8pm to 5am nightly due to a construction project for the South Capitol St Corridor Project-Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge. Firth Sterling Ave SE between South Capitol St and St Elizabeth Ave will be closed. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time.
The following route will detour:
W4 Deanwood-Alabama Ave northbound toward Deanwood Metrorail Station
- Buses begin detouring on Howard Rd SE (eastbound) at Anacostia Metrorail Station, resuming regular route on Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE at Malcolm X Ave.
W4 Deanwood-Alabama Ave southbound toward Anacostia Metrorail Station
- Buses begin detouring on Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE at Malcolm X Ave, resuming regular route at Anacostia Metrorail Station and Howard Rd.
