West Hyattsville Concrete & Pavement Repair Project

Phase 4 repair work is underway in the Kiss & Ride and Short-term Metered Parking. Pending weather conditions, the project will be completed in mid-October.

Due to extreme weather and soil conditions, Phase 3 of the pavement repair project has been extended through October 2018.

Beginning
June 4, 2018 for approximately 3 months, the
West Hyattsville Metrorail Station Parking Lots, Kiss & Ride and sidewalks will undergo concrete and paving repair.
This repair work will have four phases that will impact pedestrian and vehicular access in different ways, including reconfigured intersections, access road and sidewalk closures, and parking space relocations.
Customers should be prepared for loud noise and changes in vehicular and pedestrian access. For your safety, stay clear of active construction sites and follow all posted signs.
- Phase 1 will have temporary closures of parking spaces in all parking lots and detoured pedestrian paths.
- Phase 2 will close the metered parking lot

Phase 3 will close 50% (approximately 300 spaces) of the
Park & Ride lot. Customers should consider parking at Prince George's Plaza Metrorail station during this phase.
- Phase 4 will close the Kiss & Ride followed by Short-Term metered parking.
Each phase will last approximately 2-4 weeks and will include additional weekend closures. This work requires specific weather conditions and may be delayed as a result.
Vehicles parked in marked construction zones will be subject to towing.
