ARLINGTON CEMETERY STATION IS EXPECTED TO EXPERIENCE CROWDING

Arlington Cemetery Station is one of the smallest on the Metrorail system and can be expected to become crowded before and after the event.

  • Consider using Rosslyn Station instead. Arlington National Cemetery is a short walk to the south.
  • Consider using Pentagon Station and taking Metro's free bus shuttles.
    • Shuttle buses will operate between Pentagon (bus bay U6) and Arlington Cemetery (bus stop on west-bound side of Memorial Drive) between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
  • Please spread out along the platform and make use of all available cars.
  • During peak crowding times, Arlington Cemetery escalators may be configured as "exit only" before the event and "entry only" after the event. Customers traveling in the reverse direction will be directed to station elevators.
  • Determine your fare, use the trip planner. Each passenger must have his or her own SmarTrip card.
  • Load enough value for your entire roundtrip in advance.
