Starting Monday, June 26, Metrorail rides will have one distance-based fare on weekdays before 9:30 p.m. After 9:30 p.m. and on weekends, you'll still enjoy a $2 flat fare per trip.

Starting Sunday, June 25, we're expanding and adjusting service to 68 routes across the region from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m., 7 days a week.
- Highlights include:
- District of Columbia
- B2 Bladensburg-Anacostia added to the Frequent Service Network to provide 12-minute connections between Northeast and Southeast DC.
- Maryland
- A12 Martin Luther King, Jr. Hwy splits into new L12, offering new destinations along the Landover Road and new connections to Woodmore Towne Centre, Downtown Largo and New Carrollton stations.
- Virginia
- New 16M replaces 16G, 16H and extends along Columbia Pike to National Landing and runs every 12 minutes for most of the day.
- 11Y Mt Vernon Express will return to weekday rush hour service (starting Monday, June 26, 2023).
- Metro will make changes to improve schedules and service for customers on the following routes:
- DC: 31, 32, 33, 36, 42, 43, 52, 54, 59, 80, 90, A2, A4, B2, D6, D8, G2, H2, H4, H8, M6, P6, V2, V4, V7, W4, W5, X2, X3
- MD: 83, 86, A12, C2, C4, C8, C21, C22, C27, F4, F6, F8, G14, K6, L8, Q1, Q2, Q4, Q5, Q6, R4, T2, Y2, Y7, Y8, Z2, Z6, Z7, Z8
- VA: 3F, 3Y, 10A, 10B, 11Y, 16G, 16H, 16Y, 38B, REX
- District of Columbia
Starting Monday, June 26, we'll offer more frequent service on
- Trains will run every 12 minutes from opening until 9:30 p.m. on weekdays.
- After 9:30 p.m., trains will run every 15 minutes.
Starting Sunday, June 25, MetroAccess will have its first fare reduction in almost a decade. Maximum fares will be capped at $4, decreasing from $6.50. Over 25% of trips will see a fare decrease.

Metro Lift is our all-new program for customers who receive Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Eligible customers will receive 50% off Metrobus and Metrorail. Online enrollment launches Tuesday, June 20.
