MEDIA ADVISORY: Metro Will Celebrate Autism Transit Project Participants at Special Event in Observance of Autism Acceptance Month

WHAT:  
Metro will recognize an outstanding group of young transit enthusiasts with autism who used their incredible voices to announce boarding and safety announcements while raising awareness about autism and the Autism Transit Project. Participants and their families will meet Metro staff and learn about transit while touring a rail car, an electric bus, and our historic Rosa Parks bus. Kids will also interact with MTPD officers and their K-9 partners and have a Q&A session with Metro General Manager Randy Clarke. 

Media planning to attend should RSVP no later than Wednesday, April 10 at 10 a.m. by using the online form at wmata.com/media.
