Media Advisory: Metro and Virginia leaders to celebrate opening of Metro Building at Eisenhower, new Integrated Command and Communications Center

On Friday, October 27 at 10 a.m., Metro's General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Randy Clarke and Metro Board Chair Paul C. Smedberg will be joined by Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson, Congressman Don Beyer (VA-8th), Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation Director Jennifer DeBruhl, and other Virginia officials and community leaders to celebrate the opening of the Metro Building at Eisenhower.

The 14-story building, located in Alexandria's Eisenhower Corridor, will serve as a technology hub, home to the new Metro Integrated Command and Communications Center (MICC) that will bring together rail, bus, security, and maintenance operations with customer communications teams in one place for the first time. Following the ribbon cutting, guests and media will be invited to tour the MICC.
