Metro's weekly audiocast features comments from President Bush

Metro’s weekly audiocast dated March 30 is now posted on www.metroopensdoors.com. The audio-cast can be downloaded so that web users can listen to the audio-casts either right on their computers or on their MP3 devices, such as an ipod or zune. The audio-casts offer a summary of Metro-related news for the week and provide an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact weekend service.

This week’s audio-cast was posted today and features comments made on Tuesday by President Bush about the importance of alternative fuel vehicles that he made when he toured a lineup of vehicles, including a hybrid Metrobus. The audio-cast also reminds riders about service for the Cherry Blossom Festival and for the Nationals home opener. It also alerts riders to weekend track work that will impact service. Other features include credit card payment pilot for select Metro parking lots and the expansion of NextBus to additional bus routes.
