Metro joins Commuter Fair in Downtown DC

Do you have a question about Metro? Do you need a new bus schedule? How about learning to use Metro’s online Trip Planner? If you answer yes to any of these questions, you need to stop by the Commuter Fair at Farragut Square on Thursday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Metro will join the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (BID), the District Department of Transportation and others at the lunchtime commuter fair to encourage downtown workers to use Metro to move around the city.

“We are excited to be part of the commuter fair so that our customers -- and prospective ones -- will get to know more about Metro and how to use it to travel in and around the city,” said Metro General Manager John Catoe. “It is safe, clean, affordable and reliable, and it reduces congestion and pollution in the city,” he said.

Attendees can visit Metro’s Go Green Bus and get information about Metro services and programs, including SmartBenefits, MetroAccess and the online Trip Planner.

Farragut Square is at the corner of Connecticut Avenue and K Street, NW. It is accessible by Metrorail stations Farragut West on the Blue and Orange lines and Farragut North on the Red line, and by Metrobus routes 32, 34, 35, 36, 38B, 42, 80, D6 and L2. The rain date for the commuter fair is Thursday, May 3.
