Woman arrested for filing false police report about Metrobus

The Metro Transit Police Department arrested Cheryl Rousseau of Washington, D.C., yesterday, and charged her with filing a false report with police.

Rousseau, 52, told police that a Metrobus struck the stroller she was pushing and injured a three-year-old child in Southwest, Washington, D.C., on February 24. The route 70 Metrobus to Silver Spring was traveling south on Half Street, SW, near O Street, at the time of the alleged incident. A police investigation determined that the incident did not take place.
