Ride to Metro on Bike to Work Day

Ride your bike and take Metrobus or Metrorail to work on “Bike to Work Day,” Friday, May 18. Metro will participate in “Bike to Work Day” with a pit stop from 6 to 8:30 a.m. at the Franconia-Springfield Metrorail station, 6880 Frontier Drive, Springfield, VA.

Bike racks are available at stations for people who want to bike to a station, lock up their bicycles and ride Metrorail.

Bicyclists who ride to a Metrobus stop and take the bus to work can secure their bikes on racks on the front of the buses. Information on how to use the racks is available at http://www.wmata.com/riding/bike/bikeonbus.cfm.

As a reminder, bicycles are not allowed on Metrorail between 7 and 10 a.m., and 4 and 7 p.m.
