New Metro audiocast available online

The newest Metro audiocast, dated May 18, is now available to customers on www.metroopensdoors.com and on iTunes. “On Track” offers customers a summary of Metro-related news for the week, and provides an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact their weekend travel.

This week’s “On Track” audiocast was posted today and tells listeners about bus detours and weekend single-tracking for rail car testing and track work that will cause delays of up to 30 minutes on the Blue, Yellow, Red and Green lines.

The audiocast also provides information about the ongoing acceptance of SmarTrip® cards on bus systems throughout the region, and upcoming events in the region, such as Pas de Dirt at the National Building Museum, the U.S. Army’s Twilight Tattoo, Sounds in the Square and sporting events.

Online users can download the audiocasts from Metro’s Web site and listen on their computers or MP3 devices, such as an iPod or zune. In addition, the Metro audiocast is now available on iTunes. Search the podcast area of the iTune store for “On Track” in the title to find the Metro audiocast. Individuals can also subscribe on iTunes to automatically receive each week’s downloads.
