Metrorail records seventh highest weekday ridership in its 31-year history
796,087 riders used Metrorail on Wednesday, June 6
Hundreds of thousands of people yesterday helped Metro set the transit agency’s seventh highest ridership day in the history of the 31-year-old rail system. Riders took 796,087 trips, which was 37,160 more trips than the same day last year. Beautiful weather and the Washington Nationals contributed to yesterday’s high numbers.
