Metro Transit Police arrest six teenagers in connection with gang fight

Metro Transit Police have arrested six teenagers in connection with the stabbing and assault of another teenage boy during a gang-related fight.

Two separate fights broke out May 19 after 7 p.m. in the bus shelter area of the Addison Road-Seat Pleasant station on the Blue Line. The other involved young people from the surrounding neighborhood. Two teenage boys were seriously injured in the separate fights.

The first fight started at an outdoor concert near the station and spilled over to the Metro station, investigators said. A 15-year-old boy was waiting at the bus shelter after getting into an earlier fight with members of a rival gang. He told investigators he was attacked by six members of the gang. A woman allegedly stabbed him four times. Other members beat him, including hitting him in the head repeatedly with a stiletto heeled shoe.

Police arrested Brandon Dodd, 18, of Silver Spring, Md. today and charged him with first degree assault. Carynn Gray, 19, of Silver Spring was arrested and charged yesterday with attempted second degree murder, first degree assault and intent to injure with a dangerous weapon. Charles Mallory, 18 of Lanham, Md., was arrested last Thursday and charged with first degree assault. Two teenage boys and a teenage girl – all from Prince George’s County, Md. -- also face assault charges.

Detectives were able to find the suspects using interviews with the victim and witnesses and the Internet, specifically the suspects had MySpace web pages.

Police continue to investigate the other fight that occurred outside the Metro station. A 15-year-old boy suffered face injuries in the altercation.
